The free way to find out about your competitors' ads on Facebook and Instagram
You can simply find out what ads your competitors are doing on Facebook and Instagram by the following steps:
-
Open the company's Facebook page, for the purposes of this article, dar al-Ray's Facebook page, a place for medical radiology in Egypt, will be chosen.
On the page you'll find a box on the left with some information about Page Transparency click on View More as shown below. You can note that the date the page is created is publicly recorded at the bottom of the box.
- There are three main tabs in the pop-up tab: Summary – Page History – The people who run this page. All this data explains information about the page. The page history contains the page's creation date and the old names of the page, for example: some who claim to be marketers make pages to display pictures of or other scandalous images to bring in certain interactions and then change the page name to the name of a product or company, these acts can now be exposed.
What matters to us is a page: Summary, you'll find three headlines, the latest of which shows whether the page is making ads or not, on the Dar al-Ray page and for the purpose of this article, this page makes ads, click "Go to the ad library" to see all the page ads in detail.
You'll see another full page with more detailed data on ads, text, image, headlines until the start date of that ad and whether it's currently active or not.
If you work in politics and elections, this has a specific choice, if you work or search for a competitor in any other area, the natural choice will be: all ads
At the top of the page you'll find "Filter by" to choose the country you want to know if the competitor is making ads in, and"All Impressions" shows ads that have made at least one appearance a day and you can see ads in the previous three months. In the "All Platforms" box, you can only choose Instagram if you're working on Instagram and Facebook or choosing "all platforms" to watch all the competitor's ads.
You'll then find the status of the ad, the image, and the text in the ad.
By clicking on "View Ad Details", you will be opened with a window with all the details of the ad as well as the details of the interaction from followers and viewers who have the number of likes. Unfortunately you cannot comment on the ad itself. You can report the ad if you see it as contrary to public morals or if it mentions your product or other products as bad, for example, or dishonestly in competition.
