Let’s admit it, we start running Facebook ads without reading the policy statement or why you’re ads are rejected. It turns out, the reason why your assets got banned might be mentioned there.
Many cases of people losing their accounts, profiles..etc are due to violation of policies without us marketers knowing it! Sometimes Facebook randomly ban assets (Facebook page, ad account, personal profile) but those usually get reinstated by submission of an identity proof or/and business registration.

1. Not Having Two Factor Authentication for Facebook Ads admins
Two Factor Authentication is a security measure to ensure that you log in to new devices and locations via both password and one other means of identification, usually the phone number.
Also, many personal profile bans are because you’re logging in from multiple locations without 2FA which Facebook sees as suspicious activity.
How to solve: The easiest way is to add your phone number as the second identification method.
2. Users with other banned accounts
What : Having people connected to your accounts or business managers that are connected to other accounts or business managers which have been banned or running non-compliant ads. Remember, with automation, everything is connected and you can run but you cannot hide!
3. No Advertising Activity
What: Having active ad accounts with NO ads running can create a ban!
How to solve: Create the ad account just before you start running ads and not to try the platform!
4. Personal Attributes / Weapons & Knives / Promoting a specific body image
Using copy in your ads that identifies people by a personal attribute or before/after images. Some products are very delicate when running ads like supplements that is related to weight loss or burning fat.
How to solve: You have to be very careful with the text and images before publishing you ad.
5. Poor or misleading Site Functionality
This is when your website is using (innocently or otherwise) things Facebook see as suspicious like redirects, pop-ups and the way the site operates.
6. Scaling Too Fast
You’ve launched a new ad account and you’re incressing the budget fast.
How to solve: you need to increase up to 20% of the ad budget each time and wait for 24 hours at least to let the automation do its thing.
7. Multiple Country Logins
You’ve shared your personal profile information with someone else in different location, facebook will lock the ad account related.
How to solve: you will have to add people in the business manager or get someone in your own country only to log in from your own personal account.
8. Low Page Feedback Score
When your Page feedback score falls below 1 (out of 5) for pages over one year old and below 2 for pages under a year old it will be banned. Page health is essential to keep your ad account healthy. you can check your Facebook account health here.
9. Using Personal Profiles for Business
If you want to advertise your business, create a business profile and verify it to avoid getting your personal account locked, they will ask for identity.
How to solve: Usually Facebook will ask you to verify your identity and your account will be reinstated. If your business account is restricted. They’ll ask you to verify your business from “Security center” in the business settings.
10. Payment Method Issues
If your payment method was declined to pay what you owe Facebook, your account will be disabled and all you have to do is pay your debt to get your account reinstated.
